The China-Europe Sea and Land Express

refers to the route connecting Asia and China Mainland with Europe continent via ocean and rail transportation. Port of Piraeus in Greece plays a significant role on this route as it is the connecting point between the 2 basic modes of transport: vessel and train. Shipments arriving in Piraeus are forwarded further to the Balkans (North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania) and Central Europe (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria) and other hinterland destinations of Central Europe and Eastern Europe. The China-EU Land Sea Express offers already an advantage of shorter transit time between China and Europe comparing to the traditional Western and Northern European routes. Transit time is going to reach the 7-10 days less when the upgrade of rail network along the Sea-Land route will have been completed.
